Pair of Chatsworth Lions
The famous lion sculptures were originally made for the Rezzonico Monument in St. Peters, Rome. In 1823 the sixth Duke of Devonshire commissioned the same lions for Chatsworth House in England.
The original Lions each weigh 3.5 tonnes and the sleeping lion was made by Rinaldo Rinaldi. The Crouching Lion was made by Francesco Benaglia.
Our Marble sculpture reproductions are of the highest quality using a unique dry casting process using the best Carrara Marble. Your sculpture will be finished to exacting standards and finished by hand.
The Chatsworth Lions marble sculptures are heavy weighing 5 kg each and each has a coin on the base as pictured. The ultra-smooth finish and fine detail will be a worthy addition to your home.
